They were friendly and the wait was minimal for the ER. On return visits for tests they were quick and efficient!

I recently gave birth here and the staff was very nice and I felt like I was taken care of well. Even though there is a wait for the food (the same at every hospital), I think the food taste very good. The nurses here were outstanding! The people who gave me the epidural were great, and the man who took my blood may have been the best ive ever had. I'm a little difficult to work with when it comes to iv's and needles and anything else medical - so I can honestly say they handled me pretty well.

Thank you, Shiloh Memorial Hospital!

Took my 1 year old to the ER yesterday with croup, no one looked at her throat, mouth, or ears. No one checked her lymph nodes which were swollen. I have a $300 copay which I would expect a doctor to actually have assessed my daughter which was not done (I am an RN myself). Called the "patient advocate" twice to discuss my experience and have yet to have a return phone call. I thought because my daughter was breathing weird I would save the trip and go to memorial instead of children's hospital, I definitely won't make that mistake again.

My 90-yr-old mom, who has dementia, fell at home at 2am on 6/19. We arrived at this hospital around 3am. The nurses, aides, & staff on the night shift were attentive & caring & very patient with mom. That all changed with the morning shift change. No one came in to introduce themselves. No one updated the dry erase board. No one asked if we needed anything. The social worker did try all day to help get an approval for mom to be placed somewhere. The PT & OT ladies were helpful & kind. We were across from the nurses' station, which is apparently where the party was. They were loud & raucous, not at all professional and certainly not conducive to calm & healing. With the exception of the social worker, the PT & OT ladies, and one aide, everyone else should have stayed home or met at their local watering hole. The behavior of the staff was ridiculous. By 10am mom was paranoid, convinced the staff was laughing at her. By 2pm I had to ask to be discharged. That happened at 3pm. Mom was increasingly agitated, as was I. There is more to this story which I am putting in writing to management. 12 hours in this ER was about 10 hours too long. Mom recovered from the fall, but the trauma caused by careless staff may take much longer.

My 16-year-old son was brought into the emergency room last night after he collapsed during a band competition in 85-degree temp. The medical staff was very attentive, courteous and professional. They took really good care of my son and nursed him back to good health.
